Anthony HartmanTony Hartman, partner in charge of Stockmarketloss, has repeatedly been chosen by his peers for inclusion in the annual publication Best Lawyers in America®, the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. Selection to Best Lawyers® is based on an exhaustive and rigorous peer-review survey, and inclusion is considered a singular honor. In 2012, Tony has been named a “Best Lawyer” in two categories: securities litigation and commercial litigation. Tony also has an AV® Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell,®   the most authoritative ratings guide to the American legal profession.  The coveted AV® Preeminent rating is reserved for lawyers and firms whom unaffiliated peers have designated as “very high to preeminent in professional reputation and very high in ethical standards.”

Tony is a 1965 graduate of Ohio State University and received his law degree in 1968 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law where he was elected to Order of the Coif, a law school equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa. Since entering the practice of law more than 40 years ago, first with a large Cleveland law firm and then with HC&S, Tony has tried hundreds of cases involving all types of business disputes. He has represented every type of client, from individuals to huge corporations. In years past, he has engaged in securities litigation on behalf of both individual investors and large brokerage firms, including Paine Webber, Prudential, and Everen Securities. But today, his securities practice is devoted to the representation of investors seeking to recover losses caused by the misconduct of stockbrokers, investment advisors, financial planners, insurance agents, and other investment professionals. In addition to representing clients, Tony has lectured on securities law issues to other lawyers and to trade groups.

We spend nearly all of our professional time litigating investment disputes, exclusively representing investors injured by stockbrokers, investment advisors, insurance agents, and other investment professionals.
